Education Qualification | For Direct recruitment to the cadre of Veterinary Field Assistant, a candidate shall have to pass the examination in elementary knowledge Veterinary Science (One Year Training Course) from the recognized “School of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry” established by the Govt. of Assam at Ghungoor, Silchar and having passed HSSLC (Sc.) Examination with Biology as a subject as the basic qualification. This is as per Rule 8 of “The Assam Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Subordinate Service Rules, 2002”. |
Salary | Pay Band-2 of Rs. 14,000/- to Rs. 70,000/- + Grade Pay of Rs. 6,200/- plus other allowances as admissible from time to time. |
Age Limit
To applicants must be no less than 18 years and no more than 40 years as of 01.01.2025. Age relaxation is applicable as per Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Department, Assam 2025 Recruitment Rules.
How to apply for the Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Department Recruitment 2025?
The applicants who are interested in applying should fill in the form of application as per standard format given in Part IX of the Assam Gazette. The applicants should include their testimonials and a self-addressed envelope with a ₹5.00 postage stamp with the application for communication purposes.
The duly filled-in application should be addressed to The Director, Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Department, Assam, Chenikuthi, Guwahati-781003. It may either be submitted personally through the Drop Box at the Directorate or through Registered Post.
One recent passport-size photograph must be attached firmly in the specified space on the application form by a strong adhesive and an extra signed copy of the photograph has to be given. The Directorate of A.H. & Veterinary will not be liable for any loss or detachment of the photograph. In addition, candidates are required to self-attest their certificates and mark sheets, as attestation by a competent authority is no longer required. It is imperative that applications are complete, properly signed, and submitted in the right manner to prevent rejection.
