Title of the project – Design and development of laser micro-welding for difficult to weld dissimilar shape
memory alloy/nickel-free high nitrogen austenitic stainless steel and mitigating
formation of inter metallics by employing Ta/Cu interlayer for implantable medical
devices
Funding Agency- Science & Engineering Research Board, Department of Science & Technology,
Government of India
Duration:- 03 Years or Completion of Project, whichever earlier (extension based on performance
review every 12 months)
General Information and Terms & Conditions:-
- Essential Qualification- B.E./ B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering/ Material Science & Engineering or M.E/M.Tech or equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering and related branches of Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University. Others terms are according to DST-SERB guidelines
- Desirable Qualification- Expertise or strong interest in Design/Manufacturing/Production/Tribology/Material Science. Throughout First Class in academic career and Knowledge in welding or shape memory alloys is preferred.
- Salary/Emoluments:- (i) Rs 31,000/- for Gate Qualified Candidate
(ii) Rs25000/- for Non-Gate Qualified Candidate - Relaxation on qualification and age :- Relaxation as per Government of India Rules and Regulations.
- Date of interview, time, and venue:- Interview date and mode (online/offline) will be notified in due course of time through email.
- No objection certificate:- Employed candidates are requested to submit no objection certificate from his/her employer at the time of interview.
- Institute right:- The Institute has the discretion to restrict the number of candidates to be called for the interview on the basis of screening. No candidate may be recruited if suitable candidates are not found.
- Signing of the agreement:- Selected candidates shall have to sign an agreement at the time of joining.
