The following details are:
| Education Qualification | As per Rule-8 of Part-4 of Uttar Pradesh Ophthalmic Assistant Service Rules-1993, for direct recruitment to the post in the service, the candidate must have the following qualifications- (1) Must have passed the Intermediate Examination of the Board of Secondary Education, Uttar Pradesh with Science or any examination recognized by the Government as equivalent to it. (2) Must have obtained a diploma or certificate in Ophthalmology, Optometry or Refraction from Uttar Pradesh State Medical Faculty or any other institution recognized by the Government in this behalf. Preferential Qualification– As per Rule-9 of Part-4 of Uttar Pradesh Ophthalmic Assistant Service Rules-1993, other things being equal, in the case of direct recruitment, preference will be given to such candidate who- 1. has served in the Territorial Army for a minimum period of 02 years, or 2. has obtained ‘B’ certificate of National Cadet Corps, |
